Chorlton’s 9th Food and Drink Festival 1 -12 October
The food and drink establishments of Chorlton are once again celebrating the wealth of gastronomic delights available in the southern suburb of Greater Manchester.

There are an incredible 80 plus independent outlets in an area just one mile square. A record 31 of these are taking part in this year’s festival. Whether you want to eat Thai or Turkish, there is something for everyone. Chorlton has a plethora of Global cuisine, all available within walking distance.

Many restaurants take pride in sourcing as many of their ingredients as possible locally and seasonally. We have some of the coolest bars in Greater Manchester, selling real ales, Belgian beers, exotic cocktails and quality wine. There are fine food delicatessens, organic and wholefood suppliers, local pubs, more than three quality family butchers, greengrocers, as well as a fantastic fishmonger. Even the kids’ play centre provides quality food and drink.

The festival is part of the Manchester Food and Drink festival, which is taking place at the same time. The city will host a gastro extravaganza, promising a wealth of celebrity chefs, which culminates in a prestigious awards ceremony. Out of the 56 award nominees, five are in Chorlton. They include Electrik, Ostara, Sweet Tooth Cupcakery, Barbakan and Unicorn.
