French Markets

Sometimes we manage to leave Chorlton and get into town. Whilst there checked out the food festivities in St.Anne's Square. Raymond Blanc was doing a cooking demo in a marquee. He's a bit of a master at such things. Managed to taste a nice jam called "Manchester Tart" - based on the ingredients of the famous local dish - loaded with raspberries and vanilla. They also had a chile marmalade - what a great combination. Top marks to the French Bakers - who can resist buying quality bread - not me. It's on for a few more days.

If you miss it you can get to Manchester French Market on Thursday, Friday, Saturday every 4th week of the month. Next one 21, 22, 23rd October. Not in December though. Piccadilly Gardens, Moseley Street side.
