What - no curry? Asian News says curry houses have been unfairly treated by the Manchester Food and Drink Festival. Why not do your own Rusholme Curry Festival?

Main Festival Food and Drink guide, small pocket size version, was distributed in this week's City Life magazine. The weekly listings magazine comes out every Wednesday, you forget to buy it until Saturday and then feel you are not getting value for money. Or is that just me.

Local restaurant Azad Manzil had a fund raising dinner on Wednesday for a village hit by the floods in Bangladesh. You'll see the story in next week's South Manchester Reporter. It was an enjoyable evening, especially when our table came away with four good raffle prizes. So don't moan about the weather a lot of people in the world are a lot worse off with hurricanes and floods.
