email report

If only I could get down to work then it wouldn't be a mountain to climb
but the distractions are too numerous. It was a still day, the air hung
about under the white grey lumpy duvet of cloud with no hope of the sun to
poke through. So there you have a weather report. The purpose of this is to
test the email direct to the web facility. If you can read this it works.
If you can't you'll never know.

If anybody out there thinks we've gone to sleep here - well we haven't, things are being coded as we speak to make this an interesting site. It's just that there are too many distractions. A visit to the RHS Flower show at Tatton Park last Friday [ it's really about gardening and is well fifteen quid to get in ], followed by GM Crop protest on Saturday in Lymn, Cheshire. Trample that maize, well I didn't but others did and got arrested. On the allotment Sunday digging up potatoes - a floury Red Norland, some globe artichokes went into the bag and the last of the raspberries. Missed the Chorlton Fringe Food and Drink meeting on Thursday last - but got the report of things going to happen at Palmeiro [ interesting wine night the sort that you don't see often in England ]. The Bar and the Marble are on the case with loads of evening things. Unicorn are trying out a sea vegetable promotion this coming week and if that goes well it'll be a feature in the festival. But is Chorlton ready for such delights, some say it still thinks monkfish is the edge of culinery taste. Barbikan will have the usual range of quality food sampling with live musicians. So what did happen to Black Forest Gateaux?

Like a dictionary interesting glossary of old plants to cook. Take ye sallets and serve shallots mixed with burnet, leeks and pennyroyal - and that sort of stuff. Get the idea and then create a 16th Century menu when salads were considered rabbit food (and there are still people like that around today says, I say says Fred Elliot ) and you can be a 16th Century radical cook and 21st Century radical cook at the same time. Most of your friends will consider you completely barking and so will stop asking for advice on matters. That's a relief then.

Try out comments system - again and again...and again and again and this time without spelling mistakes

A day off work and what happens. Yes it rains. So down hearted or not still had dinner in Diamond Dogs, went to Parkers the garden specialists in Old Trafford, planted 32 strawberry plants at home, wrote some more on the digital book I'm making, went to the chippy on Beech Road (chips, cheese and onion pie - while I leathered in tomato sauce, red onion chutney and tamarind pickle), the other half had dinner at Primavera with fellow workers of the multi national. This is a test message.
